Ginger Guru is an imaginary character invented by Roland White to help individuals
educate themselves on holistic health. He knows that all this information is already out there, he's just put here to
encourage you to find the information you need to create peace of mind through holistic health.
Roland White, the creator of Ginger Guru, played
professional rugby and then became a personal trainer and sports massage
therapist. Having grown up in a yoga centre, he also teaches yoga and this
gives him a unique standpoint. He has trained with Premier Training (REPS
level 3- the highest) and is CHEK qualified as a Holistic Lifestyle Coach.
He worked for Nuffield Proactive Health before setting up his own practice in
Clapham. Look out for articles on the timesonline.co.uk and My Free Sport Magazine advising on holistic health.
Roland's column in The Times online health and fitness column has been the
most popular for many weeks and he already has a growing following to the
new website Gingerguru.com, where he will answer any questions you may have.
He also features in the highly regarded weekly 'Sport' Magazine as a
holistic health practitioner.
Roland loves sports and represented England Students at rugby (1999) against
Ireland and Wales whilst playing for Leeds Tykes. He is a 3.15 marathon
runner, a 2hr 20 triathlete, he plans to swim the 10 mile Windermere race
this year. He is a qualified Snowboard Instructor (North America),
represented Surrey at 4 sports and has contributed to many unbeaten teams.
His aim is to help others unlock their potential through holistic health,
and believes you can be healthy whilst still having fun!

Even better than that: "be the best you can be," that is what Ginger
Guru wants you to do. He won't allow you to strive for mediocrity.
To be at your best, you have to start with your health. First physical,
then mental, then your soul will follow. Then and only then will you be in a fit
state to be in touch with yourself, enough to reach your goals and reach your
maximum potential.
There's more to life than being alive. To really live, it is important
to stop. As Ferris Beuller said:
"Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a
while, you could miss it!" A daily activity (which we can help
devise) that helps us get in touch with our soul gives us a chance to pause for
a second and appreciate things.
